The PRecedent is our PRSSA chapter’s newsletter that comes out at each meeting. All entries are submitted by students. This is a great way to get credit for a journalism class or just to practice writing and build your portfolio! 

 This year’s PRecedent editor is Meagan Kelley If you’d like to send her a submission, here are the requirements:

• Make sure at least one person has checked over your work before you have submitted it. After looking at something for a long time, you can skip mistakes.
• All entries must be written in AP Style. For underclassmen, this would be a great incentive to join the mentoring committee. Your mentor can explain what AP Style is and how to use it.
• Submissions should be 300 – 400 words.
• Please send a picture of yourself with your submission. Members want to know who you are! Also include your full name, major, class year (freshmen=1st year, sophomore=2nd year) and a fun fact or favorite quote.

Once you have done these things you can send a submission to meaganrkelley@gmail.com. Please be sure to include "PRecedent submission" in the subject line.
